Gibdog Pet Supplies Celebrates 1 Year Anniversary

It's the first year anniversary for www.GibdogPetSupplies.com, source of all-natural dog treats and chews, and is marked by the opening of a new blog.

Novi, MI (PRWEB) June 29, 2008 -- Gibdog Pet Supplies is celebrating its first anniversary online, reflecting on a year of selling high-quality, all-natural pet treats and dog chews. As their product line continues to grow, they look back on the past year and forward to the next, working on their new informational blog and improving the customer experience.

"We have 2 dogs, and my fiancée and I are avid dog lovers," says Scott Gibson, owner and operator of http://www.gibdogpetsupplies.com/, looking back on how he got started. "We were buying cow ears off eBay for quite some time, and the supplier we used to get them from suddenly disappeared. I thought that this would be a nice little business venture and decided to start buying them at bulk quantities and selling them to people, because they were really expensive in pet stores. We'd have a bulk supply for our dogs, and give people a lower price on their purchase."

The site began with cow ears, but soon branched out into other products, always keeping to a 100% natural product line. "I let the market dictate what products I selected," explains Scott, who spent a lot of time designing the site and carefully selecting products. "I did a lot of research as far as all-natural dog treats, and we pretty much chose the hot sellers and decided we would carry those items for people and their dogs."

Scott has also begun a blog at http://www.gibdogpetsuppliesblog.com/ to help inform his customers about products and dog lifestyle articles, interweaving product updates and tips on dog training and care. "We're going to use the blog mostly for education, just to educate people about dog training, dog behavior, all-natural dog treats, and pretty much anything to do with dogs," he says. "We want to make sure that we educate people in all of those different categories. We're hoping that people will find some nice information."

The site never stops growing, with new items appearing based on their popularity in the marketplace. "The newest addition we have is a 7-9 inch knotted bully bone, which we added just after the 6-8 inch spiral bully stick and the 5 inch round braided crown bully stick," says Scott. "The hot sellers are pretty much all of our bully stick product line -- it's kind of the bread and butter of our store. We get orders for them every day, and it's the number one item on the market because of the chew time it takes for a dog to eat a stick. It keeps them occupied, plus it's healthy for them."

In the future, Scott is considering opening a brick and mortar store for his local community, but plans to continue the growing online superstore. He encourages customers to take part in his new blog and to browse the new additions to his catalog.
